Welcome to Kaizena!

The guides in this "Getting Started" section are everything you need to start giving fast, high quality feedback to students.

These videos cover the same material as the "Getting Started" guides, but are slightly out of date since our recent redesign:

New videos will be posted when they've been updated: send us an email if you'd like to be notified when the new videos are posted!

Step 1 of 6: Signing up for Kaizena

The first time you go to Kaizena.com, you can choose to sign up using your Google account, your Microsoft account, or using an email address. If you want to use Google Drive or sync Kaizena with Google Classroom, you should use your Google account: click "Sign up with Google" to get started. If you want to upload files from your Microsoft OneDrive, click "Sign up with Microsoft."

If you don't have a Google account, or aren't planning to use Google Drive or Classroom, click "Sign up with email."

Next, select your role:

On the next step, you'll choose/confirm your photo and name. If you signed up with a Google account, we'll use the photo and name from that. If you'd like to use a different photo, simply click on the photo:

Next, choose the name you'd like to use on Kaizena. This will be the name your students or teachers see:

If you're a teacher, tell us where you teach by typing your school name. As you type, we will auto-suggest some schools. If your school appears in the list, choose it and click 'Next'.

If your school can't be found, type the name of your school, then click the 'Add' button and enter the city, state/province and country. Then, click 'Add my school'.

If you're a student, you don't need to add your school. Instead, you'll be asked for a group code (#1 below):

If your teacher has given you a group code, enter it here to join their group. If not, just click "Done" (#2 above)!

Hurray! You've signed up for Kaizena successfully! Next, open the sample group in Step 2 of 6.
